WCLRF works to empower women and girls to take active part in the social, cultural, and economic and political process. Although, the Constitution guarantee women’s equal rights but Afghan women still face significant challenges. Beside women empowerment there is need to research and to ensure advocacy of the implementation of women right is evidence based. WCLRF uses below approach in reaching its objectives:

  • Research: Based on necessity of society, WCLRF conducted research on variety issues in different jurisdictions, to identify causes, factors, types and consequences, and to present effective solution for solving those problems. In addition, findings of researches, recommendations and suggestions regarding to existence problem are shared with national and international organizations.
  • Capacity building: based on the training need assessment and finding of research WCLRF conduct different capacity building programs/session and workshops. The capacity building is key part and must be attached into broader context of organizational development. Capacity development and / or capacity building is a process that improves the capability of individuals, group, organizations and or system to meet objectives or to perform better.
  • Public awareness: To use public awareness as a tool that is targeting communities and as well as the service providers to contribute towards creation of safe environment for the women and girls in this country.
  • Women economic empowerment: (i.e., Livelihoods, small-medium enterprises/ small-scale businesses, and vocational skills).
  • Advocacy: Considers advocacy as an effective tool to influence laws and policies change and amendments through leading advocacy campaigns, media usage and policy advocacy. The organization has established different committees to achieve its advocacy goal:
  1. Advocacy committee for women’s access to economic rights
  2. Advocacy committee for women’s access to education
  3. Women Advocacy committee to increase women participation in peace, security and political participation.
  4. Provincial Advocacy Cluster committee.
  5. Community Advocacy groups.
